Beyond Imagination : EDDS on the right track to becoming the frontier of industry and academia.

From a very humble beginning in early of 2018, Early Drowsiness Detection System (EDDS) project is believed has become a milestone and also as a benchmark to initiate more collaboration of smart project between industry and academia. The opportunities become widely for EDDS since Serba Dinamik IT Solution become their partnership that started in July 2019. The idea of this invention increasing well known among the companies since EDDS participate as an exhibitor at the recent International Applied Vibration Conference (IAVIC) 2019.


Joining Startup Borneo by early of this year comes at all the massive support, and conspicuous guidance from Startup Borneo for EDDS was looking to expand for more startup project to develop and collaboration. “Startup must have firmly believed what they have that towards Industrial Revolution 4.0 goals, “said Abdul Qaiyum Alidin, GM (Operation) of Serba Dinamik IT Solution.


“All the hardship and the successful of EDDS is nothing without investing our pocket money first for EDDS project until we won British Inventor Award in Gwangju, Korea last week recently, “said Dr Mohd Amzar while presenting his paper at the IAVIC 2019. Dr Mohd Amzar, EDDS team leader leverage EDDS in the conference and it is a very monumental moment of applause from delegates which is among the industry players and academicians.

“There are a lot of things that we can do for awareness to the train driver especially in night shift because we can only monitor them from the camera and the train driver did not seem aware of their awakeness level in the night shift. It can be implemented in our industry as well and we can foresee what we can do “said Noraman Mokhtar, from Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd.


Sharing exhibition booth space with Startup Borneo, EDDS becomes a hotspot for delegates to catch their eye and experienced on the EDDS box system themselves. Among of visitor which were Prof Muhammad Fard (RMIT University, Australia), Ir Salim Sumormo ( PETRONAS), Shahriman (WESTSTAR Aviation), Kazuhito Kato (NHK Spring, Japan).


IAVIC 2019 themed “ Vibration Technology in the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 was held on 13 &14 November in Kuala Lumpur and highlighted the latest standard technology and best practices in not only solving but managing vibration issue related human, transportation, building as well as machinery. Managing vibration on seismic engineering was represented by Dr. Patrick Tiong from Doshin Rubber Products on the second day of the conference. The welcoming speech was given by Datuk Dr. Ir. Mohd Karim Abdullah who is cum as chairman of Institute of Materials Malaysia Vibration committee.
